There are several general surgical conditions that are encountered by gynecologists on a routine basis in the course of surgery. The conditions range from benign appearing and acting conditions such as hernias, ventral and inguinal to more urgent conditions such as diverticular abscesses or appendiceal abscesses or tumors of the bowel. These conditions are discussed regarding their diagnosis and treatment.

After the highly successful GET – 2009 the Obs & Gyn Society of Southern India and the Joseph Nursing Home have joined with the International Society of Gyn Endoscopy to present a gyn endoscopy feast in GET – 2011 – Gynec Endoscopy Today.
The theme of this regional conference of the ISGE is “Simplify Endoscopy”. In this era of developing endoscopic skills and numerous gadgets the average gynecologist seems to have been left behind.

Laparoscopic Management of Hypogastric Vein Injury during Pelvic Lymphadenectomy

The first laparoscopic lymphadenectomy was reported in the late 1980’s and safety of this procedure has been largely proved.
Familiarity with instrumentation and management of complication is a prerequisite to perform this procedure.
In this case report we describe the successful management of a hypogastric vein injury during a pelvic laparoscopic lymphadenectomy.
